Ready Pac Foods, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert And Recall On Mislabeled Salad Products

Sept. 23, 2021

Ready Pac Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling specific lots of Ready PacR BistroR Bowl Chef Salad and private label Chef and Garden Salad bowls due to a mislabeled ingredient used in those products.

A dressing supplier informed us that dressing cups shipped to us labeled as ranch dressing may have contained caesar dressing, which contains anchovies. The incorrect labeling may lead to the potential for undeclared fish (anchovies) allergen in a limited number of units of the recalled products. This recall is being issued for products made in facilities in Swedesboro, N.J. (operating under the name Missa Bay, LLC), and Jackson, Ga. (operating under the name Salad Time, LLC). No other facilities or products have been impacted.

No adverse reactions have been reported to date, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The affected products were distributed through retail stores in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Jersey, Illinois, New York, Wisconsin, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maryland. To see the complete list of retailers and products subject to this recall, please click here to view the USDA recall notice.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products are asked to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The safety of our consumers is our top priority, and we are committed to providing detailed information to keep our consumers informed. Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Mary Toscano, Consumer Affairs, at (800) 800-7822.
