USDA Public Health Alert issued for Bistro Grande Southwestern Style with Chicken due to misbranding and undeclared allergens

On June 10, 2024, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for a Ready Pac Foods, Inc. product labeled as Ready Pac Bistro Grande Southwestern Style with Chicken due to misbranding and undeclared allergens including anchovies and wheat.

The company identified 20 bowls labeled as Southwestern Style with Chicken that contained ingredients for Chicken Caesar Salad including the undeclared allergens.  Due to the misbranding and undeclared allergens, the company, in cooperation with FSIS, wants to ensure that consumers with allergies to anchovies and wheat are aware that this product should not be consumed.

These bowls were shipped to retail locations in California and Nevada. FSIS did not request a recall due to the small quantity of product affected, and because the product is no longer available for purchase.
