Bonduelle is a French family-run company that leads the world in ready-to-use vegetables. Founded in 1853 by Louis Bonduelle, our group feeds over 100 countries with healthy vegetables preserved using natural processes. Everything we do follows the values that have driven us since our company’s creation and throughout our development.

We offer a complete range of products under our Bonduelle, Arctic Gardens, Graves and Del Monte® brands in Canada. In the United States, our brands are Ready Pac Foods®, Bistro®, Ready Snax® and Cool Cuts®. Offerings include fresh-prepared salads and fresh-cut, canned and frozen vegetables, available from major retailers and distributors, including restaurant chains, across North America.

    When it all began

    When it all began

    Louis-Antoine Bonduelle partnered up with Louis Lesaffre-Roussel to found a juniper berry distiller, their first venture, which led to another distillery, a malt house, a sugar refinery and a pea canning business. “Bonduelle peas” was the very first campaign run, in 1926.

    A brand was born

    Bonduelle becomes a brand. Business was going extremely well. Since 1946, Bonduelle peas were selling faster than they were being grown and canned. Demand started exceeding supply! In 1947, models were designed for tin-plate printing. In July, Bonduelle branded cans were stocked on French supermarket shelves.

    Bonduelle acquired Aliments Carrière, Canadian canned and frozen vegetable leader. With this acquisition, Bonduelle gained 7 manufacturing facilities in Canada; 4 plants in Quebec and 3 in Ontario.

    Bonduelle expands to the United States with the acquisition of facilities in New York and Wisconsin from the Allens Group, gaining three frozen food processing plants and one packaging plant.
